Knitting is one of those hobbies associted wih grandmothers isnt it? Well I may be quite a while away from retiring, but I do love knitting!
I’m Raynor, the creator of this little knitting haven. I started knitting back in 2008 when I was on maternity leave with my first child. I needed something to fill my free time and I had suggested to my husband that I start knitting. I forgot all about it and then one day he returned home with some knitting needles and baby pink yarn.
I got to work straight away.
Following the fantastic videos from knittinghelp.com I soon taught myself the basics. There was no holding me back. I soon realised I love knitting toy patterns as they were quick to finish with a variety of stitches, and no long monotonous and repetative rows.
I was so greatful for the all the knitting blogs on line which shared free patterns for me to get started. Then in April 2008 I decided to start making my own toy knittng patterns. I was still finding my feet I wanted to give back to the knitting community by making the knitting patterns free.
And so Knitted Toy Box was created.
I’ve added 25 free patterns to date.
Since then my pattern designing soon took off and I created my animal pattern range called Jelly Bums which you can see here.
In 2014 I started my Elfpop knitted doll range which you can see here.
I’ve also been lucky enough to have a toy pattern featured in Let’s Get Crafting Magazine (issue 15).
If you want to keep up with any of my knitting pattern designs you can find my Ravelry designer page here.
